Licence off track

Race Licences for Events Organised Outside Athletics Stadiums

A race licence is required for participation in all events organised by clubs affiliated to the Norwegian Athletics Federation. For events organised outside athletics stadiums (for example road races, cross-country, mountain and trail), it is possible to purchase an Annual Race Licence or Day Licence: Off-Track.

Prices Annual Licence:

- Core Licence NOK 550

- Core Plus Licence NOK 1250

Day Licence: Off-Track

Event organisers may set relevant entry fees for their events. The entry fees will affect the price of day licences. If the event is free of charge, it is not compulsory for the event organiser to collect day licence fees*. How the entry fees affect the cost of day licences can be found below:

Day licence prices are calculated based on the total of the entry fees:

<50 Optional for Organiser/NOK 20*

51- 100 NOK 20

101-250 NOK 30

251-400 NOK 40

401< NOK 50

If the entry fee for the event is between 1-50 NOK, it is up to the event organiser whether they wish to offer day licences for participation through the NFIF licence scheme but please note that without race licences, participants and officials will not be insured. Public liability insurance for the event is, however, maintained.

Licence check: All events with an entry fee over 50 NOK (whether they are timed events or not) are subject to the NFIF race licence scheme. This means that event organisers must collect licence fees from their participants. If a participant claims to hold an annual race licence, the event organiser must perform a licence check. Many event management systems will perform automatic licence checks. Select from the menu below to read more about different event management systems and which ones support this task.

Mosjon.friidrett.no is the simplest event management solution. Mandatory event organiser tasks are performed automatically.

Entry fees, decided by the event organiser, determine the price of day licences. Funds collected for day licences are automatically deducted from the entry fees and automatic licence checks are carried out continuously.

Note: If the event has been open for registration right up to the event date, and payment is not made via the event management system, the organiser is obliged to manually pay the funds collected for licences to the following bank account: 1813.38.27397. Please insert EVENT NAME AND DATE in the reference field.

By using EQ timing, you can run a report in the days leading up to your event showing participants who have ticked that they hold an annual race licence. As the event organiser, you are responsible for ensuring that all participants hold an annual licence or day licence when participating in your event.

You must carry out a licence check to ensure that all participants claiming they hold an annual race licence hold a valid licence. This does not happen automatically through EQ Timing.

Note: If the event has been open for registration right up to the event date, and payment is not made via the event management system, the organiser is obliged to manually pay the funds collected for licences to the following bank account: 1813.38.27397. Please insert EVENT NAME AND DATE in the reference field.

If using the event management system UltimateSystems, participants can tick to confirm that they hold an annual race licence during the entry process. However, no automatic checks are performed against the licence register. As the event organiser, you are responsible for checking that everyone stating that they have an annual race licence can be found in the Licence Register. The License Register is an up-to-date register showing all individuals holding an annual licence.

Note: If the event has been open for registration right up to the event date, and payment is not made via the event management system, the organiser is obliged to manually pay the funds collected for licences to the following bank account: 1813.38.27397. Please insert EVENT NAME AND DATE in the reference field.

If you use a different event management system to mosjon.friidrett.no, EQ Timing or UltimateSystems, you are obliged to carry out licence checks yourself. There are two ways to do this:

  1. Participants tick to confirm whether they hold an annual race licence or not during the entry process. The organiser manually checks that everyone who states that they hold an annual licence can be found in the Licence Register. Click here to go to the Licence Register.
  2. The event organiser completes event reporting
  3. No later than 14 days after the event, the event organiser must pay licence fees collected to the following bank account: 1813.38.27397. Please insert EVENT NAME AND DATE in the reference field.

LICENSE REPORTING SHOULD BE COMPLETED DIGITALLY THROUGH THIS FORM
